Engineered for BMW M3 G80 and M4 G82 owners, this Behind-Grille Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake System draws clean, cool, high-pressure air from behind the front grille directly to the S58 turbo inlet. Manufactured in Europe and quality-controlled by BYC Performance, it replaces the OEM airbox entirely with a Prepreg carbon fiber tube + integrated filter housing.

If you're building a serious BMW M3 G80 tuning or M4 G82 modification project and want an OBD-friendly airflow upgrade on S58, the behind-grille CAI is the ideal option. It helps lower intake air temperature and reduces high-rpm airflow restriction on the new-generation S58-powered M3/M3 Touring/M4/M4 Convertible family (473 hp standard, 503 hp Competition, 543 hp CS/CSL).

Installation Notes

  1. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool.
  2. Remove the OEM airbox cover and main hose.
  3. Carefully label and remove the MAF and IAT sensors.
  4. Install the new carbon intake tube + filter housing on OEM mounting points.
  5. Attach MAF/IAT sensors to the new tube (torque: 4-6 Nm).
  6. Tighten clamps (3-5 Nm) and check for air leaks.

Care & Maintenance

Wash the performance filter with cotton-gauze cleaner and re-oil every 15,000-20,000 km. Clean the carbon surface with pH-neutral car shampoo; apply carbon-safe sealant every 6 months.
