Installation Notes

Hood replacement requires professional installation:

1. Open OEM hood and remove hinge bolts.
2. Remove the old hood.
3. Mount the carbon hood to the hinges.
4. Verify close-alignment and latch operation.
5. Reconnect hood support struts.

Care & Maintenance

Wash with pH-neutral shampoo. Apply carbon-safe sealant every 6 months. No rust issues — a major advantage over steel.

Difference between solid hood and plexi-vented hood?
The solid hood has a full carbon surface — engine bay not visible. The Plexi-Vented Hood has a clear acrylic centre window showing the M276/M177 engine bay. Choose plexi for show quality.

Compatible with W206 (2022+)?
No.

Compatible with W204 (2007-2014)?
No.

Compatible with C63?
Yes. The W205 hood hinge and latch mechanism is shared across all trims including C63.

How much lighter than steel?
