Engineered for BMW M3 G80 and M4 G82 owners, this Titanium + Carbon Fiber Behind-Grille Cold Air Intake System draws clean, cool, high-pressure air from behind the front grille directly to the S58 turbo inlet. Manufactured in Europe and quality-controlled by BYC Performance, the system uses titanium for the intake tube and Prepreg carbon for the filter housing.

The OEM airbox uses a paper filter and narrow plastic channels — creating air starvation at high rpm on the S58. The performance intake:

Installation Notes

  1. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool.
  2. Remove the OEM airbox cover and main hose.
  3. Carefully label and remove the MAF and IAT sensors.
  4. Install the new titanium tube + carbon housing on OEM mounting points.
  5. Attach MAF/IAT sensors to the new tube (torque: 4-6 Nm).
  6. Tighten clamps (3-5 Nm) and check for air leaks.

Care & Maintenance

Wash the performance filter with cotton-gauze cleaner and re-oil every 15,000-20,000 km. Clean titanium surfaces with pH-neutral car shampoo; never use hydrofluoric-acid cleaners. Clean carbon surface with pH-neutral car shampoo.

Will this throw an OBD code?
No. The MAF and IAT sensors install in OEM positions.
