A front lip (splitter) separates the airflow between the front axle and the road surface, improving front-axle grip at speed. Autoclave-cured prepreg carbon is noticeably lighter, superior in strength, and excellent in UV resistance. Installation Notes

Installing the Porsche 718 carbon front lip uses bolts and 3M double-sided tape on the lower edge of the factory bumper:

1. Clean the front bumper lower edge with isopropyl alcohol.
2. Test-fit the lip; centering is critical.
3. Remove 3M tape liners and press firmly.
4. If hardware is supplied, torque the lower mounting points to the manufacturer's recommended torque.
5. Do not wash the vehicle for 24 hours and avoid hard highway runs.

Care and Maintenance

Wash with pH-neutral car shampoo. Apply carbon-safe sealant every 6 months. Keep pressure washer away from the lip edges.

Does this fit the 981?
No. The 981 (2013-2016) and 982 have different front bumper lines.

4.0-engined Spyder and GT4 use the standard 982 front bumper, but the GT4 ships with a dedicated front splitter - verify trim before ordering.
