Installation Notes

Installing the Audi R8 carbon hood is a direct replacement of the OEM aluminum hood. Professional installation is strongly recommended:

1. Open the front section; secure the hood prop rod.
2. Mark hinge bolt positions and remove them; lift the hood carefully with two people.
3. Test-fit the carbon hood (gap alignment vs. fender and bumper).
4. Torque hinges to the manufacturer's recommended torque and adjust the latch.
5. Peel protective film from inside the vent openings.
