Installation Notes

The BMW F80 / F82 carbon DTM spoiler bonds to the trunk lid. Professional installation recommended:

1. Degrease the trunk surface with isopropyl alcohol.
2. Test-fit the spoiler and mark center with masking tape.
3. Peel the 3M VHB tape liner and press the spoiler down symmetrically with the door line.
4. For the pin-supported version, secure with M5 bolts from the underside to the manufacturer's recommended torque.
5. Avoid car washes for the first 24 hours after install.

Care & Maintenance

Wash with pH-neutral car shampoo. Apply carbon-safe sealant every 6 months. Avoid aiming a pressure washer directly at the bond line.

FAQ

Does this fit the G80 / G82?
No. G80/G82 (2021+) have a different trunk lid geometry. A separate G-generation carbon spoiler is available.

Same spoiler for F80 Sedan and F82 Coupé?
No — F80 sedan and F82 coupé have different trunk geometries. Specify your chassis on order; we ship the correct mold.

Does it fit the F83 Cabriolet?
No. F83 Convertible has a folding metal roof and a completely different trunk geometry; this spoiler is NOT compatible.

Compatible with M4 CS, GTS, and Competition trims?
Yes. All trims within a chassis share the trunk geometry.

Does this fit the BMW M2 F87?
No. M2 F87 has different trunk geometry; a separate F87 spoiler is available.

Will the adhesive lift?
No. 3M VHB automotive tape is OEM standard and stays in place for years when correctly applied. Unaffected by car washes or rain.
