Installation Notes

Because the carbon hood is lighter than the OEM steel hood, factory gas struts may lift the hood too high — lighter-rate performance struts may be required. Steps:

1. Support the hood and access hinge bolts.
2. Remove the OEM hood with two people; detach from hinges.
3. Align the carbon hood on hinges; install bolts loosely.
4. Adjust hood gaps to bumper and fenders for even spacing.
5. Verify hood strut angle; install lighter-rate struts if needed.
6. Torque all bolts to the manufacturer's recommended values.
