Engineered for BMW M5 E60 (2005-2010) owners, this Valvetronic Catback Stainless Steel Exhaust System uncorks the S85B50 — BMW M's only series-production V10 M5 — with a T304 stainless catback. Ships with its own electronic control box and wireless remote — valve management is integrated during installation and afterward operated via the supplied remote. Manufactured in Europe and quality-controlled by BYC Performance.

The S85B50 V10 NA produces 507 hp with an 8,250 rpm redline — one of the highest-revving BMW M engines ever. This stainless catback removes the factory muffler restriction and reveals the V10's intake-driven character — noticeably fuller and more aggressive with the valve open, daily-friendly OEM+ tone with valve closed.

Installation

  1. Lift the vehicle and loosen rear bumper underbody screws.
  2. Release the stock catback mid-pipe v-band clamp.
  3. Replace OEM exhaust hangers if worn.
  4. Mount the electronic control box and connect valve actuator wiring.
  5. Hang the new catback and torque the v-band clamp (12 Nm).
  6. Confirm tips are centered in bumper cutouts.
  7. Pair the remote and test valve open/close.

Sound Character

Calm and daily-friendly with the valve closed, noticeably fuller and more aggressive with the valve open. The S85 V10's characteristic climb to 8,250 rpm comes through clearly.
