Engineered for BMW M5 E60 (2005-2010) owners, this Valvetronic Catback Grade 5 Titanium Exhaust System uncorks the S85B50 V10 — BMW M's only series-production V10 M5 — with motorsport-grade titanium lightness and sharpness. Ships with its own electronic control box and wireless remote. Manufactured in Europe and quality-controlled by BYC Performance.

The S85B50 V10 NA produces 507 hp with an 8,250 rpm redline. This Grade 5 titanium catback is noticeably lighter than the stainless variant and develops a premium heat-tinted finish at exhaust temperatures.

This product is the Grade 5 titanium variant. A stainless variant is also offered for E60:

  • T304 Stainless (separate E60 SKU): Deeper sound tone, lifetime rust resistance, value option
  • For maximum weight reduction and premium motorsport character: titanium (this product)
  • For everyday durability and a deeper V10 note: stainless preferred

Installation

  1. Lift the vehicle.
  2. Release the stock catback mid-pipe v-band clamp.
  3. Replace OEM exhaust hangers if worn.
  4. Mount the electronic control box.
  5. Hang the new titanium catback and torque the v-band clamp (12 Nm).
  6. Pair the remote and test valve operation.

Sound Character

Calm and daily-friendly with the valve closed, noticeably fuller and more aggressive with the valve open. Titanium mass dampens less than stainless — producing a brighter, sharper metallic V10 note.

FAQ

Why the titanium vs stainless price difference? Grade 5 titanium is aerospace-grade and significantly harder to machine than stainless — driving the premium price.

What is heat-tinting? Oxidation of the titanium surface under exhaust heat develops blue/gold tones. Performance is unaffected; aesthetic only.

Fits F10 / F06? No.

Fits F90 / F92? No.

Fits E61 Touring? Yes.

Where is the stainless variant? A separate Valvetronic Catback Stainless SKU is offered for M5 E60.
